Start with the requirements
Equipment can have class and level restrictions. Before comparing two items, check that your character can equip them. Our suggestion: compare the same equipment slot and note its requirements first.
Level and quality answer different questions
Level and quality are separate upgrades. Official quality grades progress from Normal through Refined, Unique and Elite to Super. Dragon Balls upgrade quality; level upgrades use Meteors or Dragon Balls under item-specific rules.
The + bonus comes from composition
Composition improves the item's bonus level, shown as +n. The official guide describes a main item and supporting materials, with rules for compatible item types. Our advice: identify the item you want to keep and inspect every material before confirming.
Sockets hold gems
A socket is a place for a gem that adds an effect. The official guide describes up to two sockets per item, with one gem in each. It distinguishes Classic and 2.0 procedures, so do not assume an online recipe matches your server.
Include repairs in your routine
Repair worn equipment before it breaks. The official guide notes that some quest items cannot be repaired. Our preparation checklist:
- Inspect equipped items and their durability.
- Read the repair or upgrade confirmation.
- Keep unfamiliar materials until you understand their use.
