Moon Box quest: all six tokens, Death Tactic and the reward

Before you start

Your goal is to arrive at the final ghost with a Soul Jade and choose the reward you want. Treat the six tokens as a set of six different names, not simply six items. Clear unnecessary valuables from your inventory before entering: the Death Tactic is the dangerous part of this route.

Where to find the quest characters

Use the map name together with its coordinates. Numbers on a different map will not take you to the same character. The final ghost has no verified coordinate in this old walkthrough, so look for Lonely Ghost after reaching Life Tactic.

Enter and collect tokens

Read the tactic name on the mini map, then track its token before moving to another area.

1. Enter through Fortuneteller

   Talk to Fortuneteller in Wind Plain and accept entry to Eight-Diagram Tactics. You need to meet the level requirement before starting.

2. Ask Maggie to send you inside

   At the entrance, speak to Maggie. The destination is random; her normal transfer does not send you straight to Life Tactic. You cannot plan the six areas as a fixed travel order.

3. Read the map and collect the token

   Identify the tactic on the mini map. Hunt its monsters for a token, then mark that name on your six-token checklist.

4. Return and repeat

   Ask Ghost to send you out, then speak to Maggie again. Keep track of different names. If you revisit a completed tactic, do not count another copy as a new part of the six-token set.

Before the final exchange, compare the names one by one. A simple note beside your game window makes it easier to see what is still missing.

What to do in Death Tactic

In Death Tactic, count your tokens and check your CP balance before choosing how to proceed.

1. Fewer than three tokens

   In this case, escape requires dying. Logging out returns you to the same place; leave unnecessary valuables safely stored before starting, because death can cost items.

2. At least three tokens

   The 2016 edition offers another tactic for 1 CP or direct quest completion for 10 CPs. Choose according to your objective and balance.

3. If you have all six different tokens

   Talk to Ghost in Death Tactic. He exchanges the set for Soul Jade and transfers you to Life Tactic. This exchange is the gate to the final reward; collecting tokens alone does not finish the quest.

Finish the quest and choose the reward

Once you reach Life Tactic, finish the conversation carefully. Decide whether you want the promotion item or the Meteors before choosing.

1. Agree to help Lonely Ghost

   Find Lonely Ghost and agree to help him be reborn. Refusing is not a harmless exit: the old route removes your Soul Jade, teleports you away and gives no reward.

2. Choose Moon Box or Meteors

   Choose one Moon Box if you are doing the quest for the promotion item, or three Meteors if that is your intended reward. These are alternatives; you do not receive both. Check your inventory to confirm the item you chose.
